As seen nowhere

ShellCaster

For the one that got in the bowl.

Saturday was supposed to be his fishing day. Then it rained. So she gave him something to catch.

One email when it's ready.

A miniature fly rod with a cork grip, a black reel and a yellow line ending in a small white fly, lying on a worn wooden kitchen table against a big cream mixing bowl, a landing net the size of a fingernail beside it and rain on the window behind

See it in action

Saturday was supposed to be his fishing day. He was in the waders by six. Then it rained. So I made eggs. And a little piece of shell got in.

So I gave him something to catch. Introducing ShellCaster. A nine-inch fly rod, and a landing net the size of a fingernail. For the one that got in the bowl.

A hand holds the tiny fly rod over a bowl of cracked raw eggs, its yellow line running straight down to a small white fly hooked into a piece of eggshell, the fingernail-size landing net waiting on the table

First cast. Nice and easy. And she's off. That's fishing. Easy... easy... there she is. Look at the shoulders on her.

Arm out. Toward the camera. Nobody has to know. And then... you let her go. ShellCaster isn't a kitchen gadget. It's a Saturday.

For the serious angler: ShellCaster Pro. Some days it isn't a piece. Some days it's the whole half. Let her run. That one, we keep.

ShellCaster Pro Max adds the ShellFinder. Sonar, for the shell you can't see. Two o'clock. Under the yolk. Plus a fly for every shell. Brown. White. ...And duck.

That night, I cooked his catch. Best Saturday we've had in years. Next Saturday was sunny.
